The Leeds music scene is swell. Eagulls are spearheading the scene that is producing the likes of Forever Cult, Colour of Spring, Yawning Dog, Moats, Mush, Allusondrugs and Nai Harvest.

Ullages reminds me of The Cure mainly due to lead singers, George Mitchell’s singing style, especially in songs like My Life in Rewind. The 80’s Goth is strong with this one.

It’s a great album to stick on in the background or get completely immersed in it’s vast array of engaging tracks. What initially may seem fragile translates into strong songwriting with beautiful guitars upon a 3rd and 4th listen.
